The T.M. Duché Nut Journey
1851
Tristan Mathieu Duche, deputy in the french Legislative Assembly, was exiled from parliament as a result of a coup d’tat Louise Napoleon Bonaparte and moves into private sector.
1857
Duche founded the “House of Duche” to enter foreign trade with the aid of his two sons. The company prospered, establishing branches across the globe. For many years, Duche imports and exports a variety of products from all over the world.
1940
In the early 1940’s, Duche acquired their Orland almond shelling, processing, and packaging plant.
1987
Dole Food Company purchased Duche and renamed it the Dole Nut Company.
